Our Core Commitments

- Screenshots stay local. ProductiveKitty analyzes your screen activity locally to detect focus states. Screenshot data is encrypted and stored on your device, never uploaded to our servers.
- AI training requires explicit consent. We will not use your data for model training without your explicit consent.
- You can stop anytime. You can pause or disable screen monitoring at any time in the app settings.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Email address provided during account registration
- Task names and focus goals you set
- Feedback or contact content you submit within the app
1.2 Automatically Collected Technical Information
- Anonymized product usage data (collected via PostHog, containing no personally identifiable information)
- Basic device information (macOS version, device model)
- Crash reports and error logs (containing no task content or screen data)
1.3 Locally Processed Screen Activity Data
ProductiveKitty needs access to your screen to detect which applications and tabs you are currently using, in order to determine if you are distracted. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. When you trigger the AI suggestion feature, we only send necessary text descriptions (not screenshots) to the AI service provider.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and optimize ProductiveKitty's core features (focus detection, distraction reminders, daily logs)
- Send product update notifications and invitation codes (only after you join the waitlist)
- Troubleshoot technical issues and improve product experience
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third-party marketing agencies.
3. Information Sharing
We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate the product (such as the anonymous analytics tool PostHog), which are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or valid government request, we will comply accordingly.
- Business Changes: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, we will notify you in advance, and you have the right to delete your account before data is transferred.

- Withdraw Consent: You can disable screen monitoring permissions at any time, which will not affect your use of other app features.
We commit to responding to requests within 30 days.

ProductiveKitty is not intended for children under 16. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete the relevant information immediately.
